First begun as color studies for a painting using pastels, Shanna Galloway has developed a series of photographs of skies and clouds with their ever-changing and expressive colors.

  1. I like the little side frame of the tree. I can't understand why everybody isn't into clouds like we are. I will pull over, in the car, and just ooh and aah over a great cloud!

  2. That tree, to me, makes the skyscape look like a painted set, possibly completely artificial.

  3. The weight of the upper cloud as it takes on the blues feels like it's compressing the scene. Like a shade being pulled down.

  4. Judy: And Austin has such great clouds! The local bloggers are starting to look up...I get reports from them about something they saw. Often they will tell me that thay saw a great sky and thought of me...

Funny...no one ever says that about my nudes!!! It is great though to have people change the way they see!

  6. PasAdj: I think in the context I have given...that is...alluding to the stage play, THE FANTASTICKS...that a curtain is quite appropriate - but it must be...going UP, as in Let The Play Begin!
