SKIES OF THE ARROYO SECO
First begun as color studies for a painting using pastels, Shanna Galloway has developed a series of photographs of skies and clouds with their ever-changing and expressive colors.
I welcome your interpretations.
Leave a comment. I really appreciate them !
I like the little side frame of the tree. I can't understand why everybody isn't into clouds like we are. I will pull over, in the car, and just ooh and aah over a great cloud!
ReplyDeleteThat tree, to me, makes the skyscape look like a painted set, possibly completely artificial.
ReplyDeleteThe weight of the upper cloud as it takes on the blues feels like it's compressing the scene. Like a shade being pulled down.
ReplyDeleteJudy: And Austin has such great clouds! The local bloggers are starting to look up...I get reports from them about something they saw. Often they will tell me that thay saw a great sky and thought of me...
ReplyDeleteFunny...no one ever says that about my nudes!!! It is great though to have people change the way they see!
Jim: I love that!!!Because I have alluded to a stage play...See the link at the top.
ReplyDeletePasAdj: I think in the context I have given...that is...alluding to the stage play, THE FANTASTICKS...that a curtain is quite appropriate - but it must be...going UP, as in Let The Play Begin!
