Artist Shanna Galloway Documents The Changing Sky Outside Her Hillside Home/Studio

First begun as color studies for a painting using pastels, Shanna Galloway has developed a series of photographs of skies and clouds with their ever-changing and expressive colors.

  1. Just as I noted a couple of weeks ago that Shanna's then-post was very likely made up of airbrushed art rather than photographs of nature, today I must say that the images before you are most likely not in fact photographs, but digitized Navajo-style Indian sand paintings.

This origin accounts for their unique fluidic quality and the sense of the nature's rhythms that they project.
