SKIES OF THE ARROYO SECO
First begun as color studies for a painting using pastels, Shanna Galloway has developed a series of photographs of skies and clouds with their ever-changing and expressive colors.
I welcome your interpretations.
Leave a comment. I really appreciate them !
Just as I noted a couple of weeks ago that Shanna's then-post was very likely made up of airbrushed art rather than photographs of nature, today I must say that the images before you are most likely not in fact photographs, but digitized Navajo-style Indian sand paintings.
ReplyDeleteThis origin accounts for their unique fluidic quality and the sense of the nature's rhythms that they project.
:)
Oh WOW, Jim. I am indeed flattered...!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great description Jim.
ReplyDelete"Magic Carpet Ride" came to mind. Love it.
ReplyDeleteNavajo sand paintings, Magic Carpet Ride...it all sounds rather exotic to me. Thank you !

ReplyDeleteAnd now it's a golden island (tm). Oops. Do I have to pay you for that?
