SKIES OF THE ARROYO SECO
First begun as color studies for a painting using pastels, Shanna Galloway has developed a series of photographs of skies and clouds with their ever-changing and expressive colors.
I welcome your interpretations.
Leave a comment. I really appreciate them !
This is actually my favorite sky backdrop color in photoshop. The blending between lavender and salmon. Now if I could only figure out how to get that ripple effect. Nature as stumper
ReplyDeleteThe color is really something isn't it?
ReplyDeleteAnd it is made from water and light.
Shanna, this series is beautifully romantic! I love your titles, too ~ so fitting. I'm glad of your sky-gazing.
ReplyDeleteShSheree: Merci beaucoup from a sister Francophile.
ReplyDeleteYour skies always make me think of music.
ReplyDeleteHiker: I really appeciate your reference to music. I LOVE music! It would be fun to know which and what kind of music the skies evoke for you.
ReplyDeleteI want a dress made of something this color. I want to dance in it to whatever music Hiker hears.
ReplyDeleteThese romantic skies are so sexy and life-affirming. I'm thinking of something by ee cummings.
Laurie:And dance by the light of the moon.
ReplyDeleteIf you think of something by ee cummings, please share!
It just occurred to me that this was the color of my high school prom dress. It wasn't sexy 100% polyester and my date was gay and I paid for everything
ReplyDeleteas if the gods woke up one morning and said "let there be pink."
ReplyDeleteFantastic.
Such a poetic series. The titles are as much a part of it as the images.
ReplyDeletewhat an image !
ReplyDeleteI agree that the titles are as pretty as the pictures. Gorgeous study, how wonderful that you take advantage of such natural beauty each night.
