Artist Shanna Galloway Documents The Changing Sky Outside Her Hillside Home/Studio

First begun as color studies for a painting using pastels, Shanna Galloway has developed a series of photographs of skies and clouds with their ever-changing and expressive colors.

  1. The way you've structured this with the serpentine movement down the center. Nice energy especially with the peach meeting the inky blacks on the bottom (and the naples yellow) love naples yellow

  2. Good analysis. Thanks. Again, in this one I used dry pigment.

  3. Again I'm getting a sense of wind and movement across the sky. I want to be outside on that day.

  4. arf: Me too. the weather is so boring right now. I could use a little wind.
