Artist Shanna Galloway Documents The Changing Sky Outside Her Hillside Home/Studio

First begun as color studies for a painting using pastels, Shanna Galloway has developed a series of photographs of skies and clouds with their ever-changing and expressive colors.

Underpainting For Untitled Sky, 20"x 30"

Posted by Picasa

  1. Mr V is presently using this old masters technique on some portraits. The latest is a friend of mine he corralled into posing for him. At a recent end of term parking lot sale at Art Center he was able to pick up four tubes of "Old Holland" paint for 20 bucks. Lushly loaded with led...butta darling pure butta

  2. "Old Holland" is the paint I use and wow, is it expensive. The colors are so jewel-like.
I'd love to see Mr.V's portraits.
