SKIES OF THE ARROYO SECO
First begun as color studies for a painting using pastels, Shanna Galloway has developed a series of photographs of skies and clouds with their ever-changing and expressive colors.
I welcome your interpretations.
Leave a comment. I really appreciate them !
A blow fish, about to eat the wispy dark little cloud at bottom right.
ReplyDeleteCheck out the right-hand side -- man's face in profile.
ReplyDeleteI like enlarging your images. This one reminds me of a glaze painting. Layers of transparencies
ReplyDeleteI was driving down the hillside around this time in the evening last night and looked in your direction. A phenomenal sunset. I hope you caught it on the winter solstice
ReplyDeletePA: How did I miss that one???? And on the Winter Solstice too, I think I was building a fire. We'll have to establish a Sky Alert.
ReplyDeletearf! and hiker: This formation does lend itself to imagery. It's fun to know what people see.
ReplyDeletePA: I'm glad you see the layering of color. I have a couple of canvases started and plan to do just that - put thin layers of color.
ReplyDeleteOh my, the rising Phoenix. That is incredible.
ReplyDeleteJudy: I didn't think of ...rising... Thanks!
