SKIES OF THE ARROYO SECO
First begun as color studies for a painting using pastels, Shanna Galloway has developed a series of photographs of skies and clouds with their ever-changing and expressive colors.
I welcome your interpretations.
Leave a comment. I really appreciate them !
Did you see the sky last night?! It looked awesome, at least from Pasadena. I thought of you.
ReplyDeleteMe too, CP. Now when I see a great sky, Shanna pops into my mind.
ReplyDeleteThis seems to pulse with tranquility.
ReplyDeleteIs the sun still above the horizon at this point? I took some shots Tuesday when the sky was glowing like this. We were on a little trail we had picked up in Tujunga. I could see the sun setting through the valley.
ReplyDeleteCafe: I was out watching but whatever few clouds we had must have blown over there. Anything I did see was gone if I looked away briefly.
ReplyDeleteHiker: Thanks!!It's a real compliment for artists to have people seeing through their eyes.
arf! I hadn't really thought of it that way, but that is a really nice interpretation.
PA: I think the sun is below the horizon because that is when I start seeing the lights on the far hill.
Perfect delineation!! Nice complimentary colors too aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI love this so much. The line across the sky and the lovely colors.
ReplyDeleteJudy and Dixie Jane: Thank you!
