Artist Shanna Galloway Documents The Changing Sky Outside Her Hillside Home/Studio

First begun as color studies for a painting using pastels, Shanna Galloway has developed a series of photographs of skies and clouds with their ever-changing and expressive colors.

I welcome your interpretations.

  1. Hi Shanna,

I think they're starting to look like your pastel paintings.

  2. inspired by Judy:

    a grey day today
    we rejoice around the fire
    Fall, finally here.

  3. Alex: Thank you. And I really appreciated your feed-back on my new work when you were here.

    arf!: How about...
A book of Haiku by the fire,
    A jug of wine and...oh, I can't think of a rhyme - but...
    Thou beside me, My Desire!

  4. The progression of photos is so amazing. I think I like the last one the best. It seems so foreboding.

  5. Thanks Margaret. Yes, foreboding. That is why it is necessary to then go inside and light a candle or build a fire in the fireplace.
